All of us non-Asians think that women from the orient are submissive and subservient. This is a stereotype that has lingered for as long as I can remember. After all just watch the movie starring William Holden titled “The World of Suzie Wong”… and from there you can see why we American men think all Asian women are submissive.
My earlier expectations of Asian women.
When I was in high school all I could think about was dating and bedding beautiful Asian girls. I am sure I was not the only young guy thinking this way.
Everywhere I would look Asian women were depicted as being very domesticated and subservient to their men.
Where these depictions came from ranged from books, movies, magazine ads and television.
Keep in mind this was the 1970s and we were not as enlightened as we are today about Asian culture and society.
The realities of being married to a Japanese woman.
Now it is 2013 and I am married to a beautiful Japanese woman. While she does make an effort to take care of our marriage on the domestic front it is more from her personal expectations to do this than from any cultural requirements placed upon her. But, by no means is she subservient or submissive in our relationship!
As a matter of fact she is very dominant, but in a very quiet and subtle fashion. Her saying is: “wife is boss inside the house; husband is boss outside the house”. And I certainly do not disagree with this statement as she does a damn good job of taking care of our family!
And she is beautiful and sexy as well!

Enjoy the video!
