How to Know if You are Depressed

How to Know if You are DepressedIf you are thinking you may be encountering a bout of depression then you are in the minority of men. Why? Because most men do not ever acknowledge that that they are suffering from any emotional duress or problems until it is often very late in the game. And it should be noted that women are not attracted to men who are depressed or show symptoms of depression.

But before you go off thinking you are depressed and not just going through a short term “funk” you should review what symptoms depression brings-about before diagnosing yourself as depressed.  Here are three common symptoms of depression you should be aware of:

ONE: Moodiness and Anger. If you are encountering bouts of moodiness or huge mood swings than there is a likelihood you may be depressed.

Depression is not a mental condition that has one easy to define symptom, but many… and moodiness and anger are a constant theme amongst men who are dealing with depression.

TWO: Lack of Motivation/Lust for Life. Depression robs many men of their quality of life!

Feelings of un-interest in people and things around them almost feed into this depressed state.

Think back over the past month or two and see if you have had any issues with not being as “robust” about life as you have in the past. If you have noticed a change in this direction then there is a high probability that depression may be the cause.

THREE: Lack of energy/Being fatigued. Being depressed often brings with it the physical symptom of fatigue and loss of energy. Have you encountered a recent and prevailing desire to sleep? Have you lost the energy to go for a run or hit the gym? You could be depressed!

Also, if you are experiencing insomnia and anxiety more than normal these may be additional symptoms of depression.

According to Wikipedia:

Depression is a state of low mood and aversion to activity that can affect a person’s thoughts, behavior, feelings and sense of well-being.[1] Depressed people may feel sad, anxious, empty, hopeless, worried, helpless, worthless, guilty, irritable, hurt, or restless.

They may lose interest in activities that once were pleasurable, experience loss of appetite or overeating, have problems concentrating, remembering details, or making decisions, and may contemplate or attempt suicide. Insomnia, excessive sleeping, fatigue, loss of energy, or aches, pains, or digestive problems that are resistant to treatment may also be present.[2]

So if you are experiencing depression then you really need to seek professional help! Why? Because the longer you put off dealing with this depression thing the longer you will struggle in meeting quality women!
